What Started as a Dream

There’s something about the month of May that always feels refreshing to me. The flowers are blooming, the weather is finally warming up, and everything just feels alive again. Spring has been beautiful, but I can already feel the excitement of summer slowly making its way in. I’ve been looking forward to this season and all that God is going to do this year.

So many things have already taken place over the last few months, and through it all, I continue to feel incredibly grateful for the opportunities God has given both my husband and myself. Life has been busy in the best kind of way — filled with creativity, growth, ministry, and little reminders of God’s faithfulness along the journey.

Next week, my husband and I are heading to Lake George for three days, and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m hoping it’s a peaceful and relaxing time for both of us to simply rest, enjoy the scenery, and spend quality time together. Altogether, I’ll have six days off for Memorial Day weekend, which honestly feels like such a gift right now.

In the middle of all of this, I’m still continuing to work on illustrations for my friend’s children’s book, which has been such a fun and creative project to be part of. I also have a little surprise of my own coming soon that I’m excited about. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had the desire to write books. Recently, God laid it on my heart to write two devotionals, and I truly believe this is only the beginning of many more to come.

I’m learning that sometimes God plants dreams in our hearts long before we fully step into them. Looking back, I can see how He has been slowly preparing me through every creative project, every season of growth, and every step of obedience. I’m excited to see where this season leads and all that’s still ahead.

Xoxo, Roxie
