Spring is just around the corner, and I am so ready for warmer days, blooming flowers, and all the sunshine that comes with it. There’s something about this season that makes me want to be outside as much as possible—whether it’s soaking up my daily dose of vitamin D, going for a leisurely walk, curling up with a book in the fresh air, or maybe even starting a small garden this year.
Of course, spring and summer also mean cookouts with friends and family, cheering at baseball games, and kayaking adventures. We already have a little excursion planned for May over Memorial Day weekend: our very first trip to Lake George! I cannot wait to experience the beauty of the lake and just be immersed in nature, which—besides art—is one of the ways I feel most connected to God.
Looking ahead, June will bring a visit to Western New York to spend time with my side of the family, and in August, Andrew and I will head to Lancaster, PA, with our church to see Joshua at Sight & Sound Theater. We’ll stay overnight and take the opportunity to explore and see what else we can fit into another short staycation that month.
Spring and summer are my favorite seasons for a reason—they bring opportunities to connect with nature, enjoy quality time with loved ones, and soak in all the beauty that God has created. I’m ready for sun, adventures, and everything in between!
What are you excited about this summer?
Xoxo, Roxie
