Crafted & Called

After seven long years, Andrew and I finally made our way back to New York Comic Con 2025 — and let me tell you, it was just as amazing as we remembered! The energy, the crowds, the costumes, and the pure nerdy magic were all in full swing.

We didn’t manage to snag any panel spots this time (lesson learned — if you plan on going, make sure to hop on those sign-ups fast!). But honestly, the main floor had more than enough to keep us busy — packed with vendors, voice actors, food, and nonstop fandom action. It’s truly every nerd’s dream.

Andrew and I were actually scheduled to meet Charlie Cox (aka Daredevil himself!) for a photo op, but unfortunately, he had to cancel on Friday. Major bummer — but the day was still a win because I got to meet Catherine Disher, the legendary voice behind Jean Grey, Psylocke, and Jill Valentine. She was so sweet and hilarious! We got talking, and she cracked me up when she said she thought I was Canadian because of my accent. I told her I was from Western NY near Rochester, and she laughed and said, “You’re basically Canadian!” 

It was such a fun reunion with NYCC — and honestly, it reminded me why this event holds such a special place in our hearts. Here’s to not waiting another seven years before our next adventure!
